You asked, we listened, and Inelco rose to the challenge!
The team recently explored a few options in manufacturing a Pullkey System that could be tamper-proof as far as humanly possible in record time. It’s important to understand that no device is entirely tamper-proof – with the necessary skills, any device can be bypassed or bridged out. In exploring these options, Inelco attempted to make it as difficult possible to sabotage the integrity of the safety system. Their approach? To develop a system that provides multiple obstacles for a person trying to tamper with it. If the first obstacle fails, the second obstacle will be in place, if the second obstacle fails the third obstacle will be in place, and so on.
6 OBSTACLES DESIGNED TO THWART TAMPERING ATTEMPTS:
- High safety and integrity level
- Prevent entry to the Pullkey
- Fit plugs to ensure a quick change in the event of a breakdown
- Supply a quick change Pullkey bracket
- Fit a tamper switch to the Pullkey lid as a backup
- Run two individual circuits to the drive PLC
