As the saying goes: Knowledge, when used wisely, leads to great power. That’s why we are excited to announce that Lasrust Enterprises Rustenburg has opened its very own onsite training centre.
In 2021 we made the decision to expand our internal sales offices in an effort to boost our efficiency and workflow. But we knew we needed to be smart about it and really put some thought into how we would use this new space to its full potential. And so, the Lasrust Training Centre (LTC) was born, and we look forward to adding value to our local and non-local customers through our curated training programmes.

Training Needs Analysis
Our goal is to increase efficiency and productivity – not just for our own company, but also in our clients’ spaces. Through our onsite Training Needs Analysis (TNA), we are able to highlight areas where skills gaps can affect your plant’s operation and efficiency – and we can do the same for you!
The Problem:
The world is changing by the day, as is your industry. New technologies and complex systems are entering the market at a rapid pace, which means that you might be missing out on instruments or solutions that can add great value to your plant or operations. That’s why it’s important to keep your team up to speed with these growing technologies. How? Through training, of course! We were recently approached by one of our long-time customers in Rustenburg to carry out the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) on one of their local Smelters in the Rustenburg area.
Once our team completed the TNA, we could see where training was needed, as well as what type and level of training the technical staff required. We then presented our findings to the client, and they could use these insights to decide which course to run first, and which staff’s training to prioritise. We also provided the customer with plant specific training courses, which included training on their own Operating System (OS) that is custom to their plant and operation. Building a strong foundation is the best solution for the future, and we are honoured that our client trusted us to be part of this vital step in their journey to success!
The Outcome:
The knowledge the team gained through the TNA has already proved immensely valuable, with the first line of maintenance on their OS complete. To date, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the training – as well as on the new venue! That’s right, it was a great pleasure to continue this journey with them in 2022, in our brand new Lasrust Training Centre. We also had something special planned for one of the delegates who celebrated his 40th birthday while attending on one of the training courses. It just goes to show: You’re never too old to learn!
